Overview of tables (Valerie) 6 CDs, $180 Memberships, 46 T-Shirts $410; Total $802 $240 11 Memberships 2. Vocational ed. - Need more envelopes 3. Shirt sales through Thurs (Jack) and Fri. (Karen) dances 4. Financial report (Ralph) - Income over expenses by ~$1000. - Phil Katz paid 2005 ($50) (? Bruce, why is this in the minutes ? - AC) - Insurance agent - No bill/policy yet. No major changes. Policy due for renewal in June. -- Bruce: Insurance cost would decrease with fewer events -- Karen: Paul Bestock found deal for $200. Karen to investigate for English Country Dance (3x/mo) - ~ $9,000 in account, $1,800 pulled from trust for IRS, since been refunded. Nedd to call Finance Committee mtg. (Karen) to determine if that money should go back into trust. -- John: Need to keep > $50,000 in trust - Motion (John): Sell GE stock and put in money market fund -- Motion passes 5. Concert Committee report (Susan) - No meeting in July, next is 1st Mon of August - Ralph wants dual concert Sept. 23 - Irish trio Randal Boys at Town Hall -- Karen: Shat if another concert opportunity comes along? Don't want to split audience or volunteers. -- Ralph: Want SFS OK for Town hall -- Susan: If guarantee over $300, board has to sign - Peter Oshushko - Lost money, discussion of details of concert 6. Exec report - Want dance committee to have a $500 cushion - Committee minutes emailed 7. Membership and computer - Computer bought - Bruce to make disk for transfer in August - New membership person is Nancy Hutchings 8. Intern project (John) - Intern is Lisa Ford - Research into scanning large posters - no solution found - Request to kinkos - Snapshots made on web 40-50 (~$1000) - Ask in flyer for volunteer - Jack will donate $500 for project - Lisa organized first 15-20 years board & officers 9. 40th year - Paul Dorpat may do an article - Friends Center rental $270 - Resv. all rooms, kitchen, exhibits, open mic - Phil Williams and Susan talked about the Williams' concert on the Sat adjacent to the anniversary. - John Madsen put info on craigslist - Rev Chumley offered a talk about folk history. - Start 7pm - Ask for volunteers - Question of whether to fund food - yes.
